Smålands Skinnmanufaktur (SSM) design and produce a range of products for life. The Swedish based studio operate in a small, intimate environment that enables them to create and design with passion and presence. Their products are made by hand and are designed in such a way that each piece ages gracefully, becoming more beautiful every day it is used.

Collaboration and community are important to SSM. They choose to work with suppliers close to home, and often work in close partnership with other designers, pushing their collections into new and exciting directions. The environment is also a key concern for SSM who are proud to work with the world’s only environmentally certified tanner — Tärnsjö tannery. For SSM, leather is a sustainable and durable material produced using natural processes and is free of chromim. It is a wonderful compliment to the other natural materials featured across the SSM collections.
