Loom Towels believe strongly in supporting traditional craftsmanship, and by offering opportunities for these skills to provide economic benefit, these traditional techniques continue to be valued, learnt and taught.

Designed in Melbourne by Mikala James, each towel is slowly woven by hand on old shuttle-loom at a small family-run workshop in Southern Turkey; true traditional craftsmanship.

Traditional methods are applied to the entire process including the most magnificent hand-tied fringing and tassels. Each Loom Towel product is made from the highest quality Turkish GOTS certified organic cotton or linen. All dyes are also organic, and every product is un-treated, non-coated and chemical free.

Every piece is handmade and one-of-a-kind, so the shape, size and colour will vary per piece.
— Materials: 100% GOTS certified organic cotton and dyes give a beautiful softness against your skin while the intricate, double-loop weave lends extra absorbency and plushness.
— Care: For the Bath towels, a one-time 12-24hr cold water soak prior to first use is recommended, but not necessary and can be done at a later date. The Bath Mats, Hand and Face towels don't need to be soaked.
Everyday care is easy; delicate cycle cold or warm machine wash with a natural laundry detergent and either tumble dry or line dry. Snip any loose threads.
