Organic Basics was created after its founders became so frustrated with the low-quality of the underwear currently in the market — and with the wastefulness when they deteriorated so quickly. So, they put sustainability at the centre of their brand and work under the mantra “design everything to last’.

Material selection is vital to all Organic Basics products. Each fabric is handpicked based on its environmental footprint and lifetime durability. Only the most responsible fabric, material and technology are used and this means natural, renewable, recycled, biodegradable and/or low-impact textiles. They are proud to offer a collection made using SilverTech — a material with antibacterial properties, that reduce the need for frequent washing. And when it comes to production, Organic Basic’s choose to partner with certified factories who pay workers fairly, and offer safe and respectful working environments.

— For every order placed Organic Basics offset one hundred kilos of CO2 through Chooose. Offsetting is performed through funding the Koru Wind Farm in Canakkale, Turkey.

— Care: At Organic Basics, we believe in saving the environment whenever it is possible. Recent studies show that garments will be just as clean at 40 degrees with appropriate washing powder as it will be with higher temperatures. We urge you to give the environment a thought when you wash your clothes. Don’t wash unless it is necessary, use a good detergent and wash with the lowest degree possible. However, our basics are durable enough for you to wash them at 60 degrees. Only the best materials are good enough for the holiest part of the body! That is why we believe that underwear always should be organic.
